I was blessed with two daughters, just a little less than two years apart in age. Parenting certainly had its challenges, but it also brought the greatest joys of my life. The children often said and did the cutest things, and we retold these incidents to family and friends. Eventually, I started writing them down, fearing that I would forget them. Sometimes, I saw lessons in their actions or their innocent comments. Sometimes I only saw the lessons as I wrote the stories. I realized that as we tried to teach the children. they were teaching us.
From time to time, I shared some of my written stories with friends, and was always encouraged to publish them. Earlier this year, I opened my files, dusted off the stories, and began in earnest the work of getting the stores ready to share. In the process, I wrote a few more stories, and with the help of AI technology, began to illustrate the stories. Julie and Jennifer were consulted from the beginning and gave their approval to the sharing of these stories. I suggested that they might want to comment on the work, and the result is the "Afterword" in the book. It is my hope that through this book. other moms will be encouraged to record the precious moments in their children's lives.
